The Journey Behind "Limbic Ventures"
You may be curious about the name "Limbic Ventures". peeling back the layers, it's a reflection of my journey, my experiences, and my deep connection with the essence of what drives us as humans. The limbic system, a network of structures in our brain, is responsible for our emotions and memories. It's the epicenter of our feelings, our passions, and our motivations. And "ventures", that signifies the adventurous spirit of exploration and discovery beyond the the well trodden path that has characterized my career to this point. Naming my business "Limbic Ventures" is not a mere coincidence; it was a thoughtful choice.
Throughout my career, I've progressed through various roles that have shaped my perspective on business and leadership. From my time at Mindbody, Inc., where I directed the Business Operation Programs & Systems team through multiple periods of organizational change, to my tenure through the various Publicis Sapient entities, where I orchestrated a team of sixty-five across twelve consecutive overlapping products launches. Each experience, each venture was a neuron firing, a memory being formed, an emotion being felt. Just like the limbic system, my career has been a complex web of interconnected experiences.
A part of the limbic system called the amygdala is responsible for our emotions, and in my journey, there have been highs and lows. Like the joy of coaching a struggle employee into being a high performer, and moments of challenges, like managing critical org-wide initiatives during the pandemic shutdown. But each emotion, each experience, has shaped me, molded me into who I am today.
Another crucial part of the limbic system is the hippocampus, which forms memories. Looking back, I can recall the countless memories of late-night brainstorming sessions, triumphant project completions, the lessons learned from failures, and the bonds formed with colleagues and mentors. These memories are not just moments in time; they are the building blocks of my entrepreneurial ventures.
In October 2023, I embarked on a new adventure by founding "Limbic Ventures." This consultancy firm, grounded on extensive industry experience, aims to deliver strategic insights and operational best practices to enhance business performance and growth. It's a testament to my journey and my passion for driving growth and fostering partnerships.
